When I look at you I see more than your reflection

Your eyes open a pathway of your true essences 

Seeing isn't always believing and when I look at you there is more that what meets the eyes

Beauty is within

Your kindness forms the curves of your lips

Your heart gives you your strength 

And your dreams make your eyes shine 

Don't Take Anything For Granted

It seems we look past everything we have. A roof over our heads, our health, and friends that will always be there for you. More importantly, what we take for granted the most is ourselves.

Who we are is incredible and what our body does is a miracle. We work ourselves too hard, judge ourselves, and change ourselves. I even noticed that we are equally hard on ourselves for our failures. 

Did we forget all the hard work, heart, and spirit we give? 

We can't define a failure as everything we didn't accomplish. We also can't define a failure of getting off track on reaching our goals.

That definition of failure will be taking all the hard work, heart, and spirit we put into a task for granted.

Never forget all the hard work you did in past because that has made who you are today regardless of accomplishing or taking a step back from reaching your goal. 

Look back and see all the things you have accomplished and it will really show how much you have grown. When you realize and see your growth then in reality you never actually quiet failed. 

We have to remember the past to accept who and how far we have come today. 

Remember the hard work we put into our goals, remember your faults, and the strength you have...

because then you can never fail or take yourself for granted 

Who you are: accomplishments, growths, and the steps back from reaching your goal deserves love and attention. When we bring our selves down and not acknowledge all we done, then we take ourselves for granted.

Learning is movement from moment to moment

Life is much more than days of the weeks and exact timing. Life is about each moment. Moments aren't always picture perfect, but it's the experience in each moment and how we grow from them is what makes life. Waiting for the right time to make a move or waiting until you look good enough or to speak up, are just moments that aren't being fulfilled. Life is too short to wait for the right moment.

There is no right or wrong moment I am realizing. If you feel a certain way stand up for yourself, if you love, give it your all. It's life and each moment going by is just as quick as the next so make the best of it.

 We all have choices I am realizing, choices to be happy for instance. Happiness will not just happen because you have money or because you look a certain way. I'm not saying I am an expert on happiness but I am learning that my happiness is through each moment in life. Life is simple, it's seems worries and emotions overshadow life's beauty. That is a choice; allowing insecurities affect the way you live your life. The way I see it, although, I am not the perfect I want to be, I am still perfect. Although I am not the best runner or the best at math, I am my best. I only get one life to live. I'm not going to take it for granted.


Happiness I believe is something everyone deserves. Believe me, I use to think that I didn't deserve to be happy. I'm not perfect or people around me aren't happy..so what makes me so special to be happy. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think people know how to be happy. Self-loathing seems to be the trend. Maybe it's that unpleasant overcast of insecurities or past moments that is keeping everyone from seeing life's allure.

The past is the past though, engaging in thoughts of when you were hurt, or how you use to look like, will only prevent you from being who you aren't meant to be. It's hard to let go, it's hard to forget, but it's easy to accept. Accept who you are and all that you learned and experienced through your past. Reflect on how it has benefit you and grow from there. It can only get better.
